Wake me up when September ends

Summer is over for me. time to get back to textbook prices and 7:30 classes. This semesters schedule isnt to bad, but I do have a Humanities class where were studying the Bible. So I purchased a new international version of the Holy Bible (which was like $4) and am well on my way reading through Genesis. The professor of this class has a pretty strict reading schedule, he also has a very high pitched voice that could easily be mistaken for Vizzini from the Princess Bride.

Bravery

This weekend I realized that I’m not very brave. So, I googled “How to be brave” and this is my foolproof plan to become brave:

1. Practice makes perfect: Take a deep breath and do what you want to do the minute you think of it… No matter how insecure you think you’ll look, do this five times daily for 3 days.
2. Don’t think- act. If you think too long, you will not act on your thoughts. Just do it.
3. Put on your jogging shoes. Jog like a fool around your area with a big grin plastered on your face, your favorite music in your ears and a belief in your ability to confront a lot of situations in life.
4. Start feeling comfortable doing new things – like talking to a “cool” person. You’re cool too.
5. Try persistence out for size: Do something by hook or by crook continually for a set amount of days/weeks.

I figure that i wont be afraid of anything by the end of next week. more posts will follow on my progress.
